The pods always arrive alive, and sometimes they live in my fridge for several days before I remember to warm they up and drop them in, and it is rare to see any dead ones, if you do it’s single digits out of thousands of swimming pods. With shipping it’s pricey but as close to a guaranteed thing as you get outside of the IRS
